Accessibility statement
What we are aiming for, what we have built, what we know is still wrong, and how to reach a person who can fix it.
What we are aiming for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website and to meet or exceed the ADA Standards for Accessible Design on the property. Accessibility is part of the build here, not a remediation project bolted on afterwards.
We currently believe this site conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We say believe deliberately: conformance is a claim that has to be tested and retested, and we would rather you told us when we are wrong than that we told you we were perfect.
What we have done on this site
- Every page works with the keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a visible focus ring meeting the 3:1 contrast minimum, and a skip link to the main content.
- Headings are properly nested and landmarks are used, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
- Text meets at least 4.5:1 contrast and interface components at least 3:1, in both light and dark themes.
- The page reflows to 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling and stays usable at 200% zoom.
- Nothing relies on colour alone, nothing flashes, and motion is removed entirely when your system asks for reduced motion.
- The booking calendar is a real grid: arrow keys move between dates, Home and End jump to the start and end of a month, each date announces its full date and rate, and selections are announced in a live region.
- Form fields have real labels, errors are described in text next to the field and linked programmatically, and nothing you typed is ever discarded by a validation failure.
- A light, dark and system-following theme is available from every page.
What we know is not right yet
Publishing this list is part of the point.
- Horizontally scrolling sections can be reached and scrolled by keyboard, but a list view would suit some users better. A toggle is planned.
- Long policy pages have a sticky table of contents that takes vertical space at 400% zoom.
- Web fonts are loaded from a third party, which can delay first paint on a slow connection. Metric- compatible fallbacks are in place so nothing moves once they arrive.
On the property
- Accessible guest rooms including roll-in showers, transfer-seat bathtubs and connecting options for a companion or carer.
- Alert kits with visual and vibrating notification for the door, telephone and fire alarm, free for any room.
- Step-free routes to every public area, restaurant, pool and gaming area, with no service-entrance workarounds.
- Accessible parking beside both lobby lifts and a step-free path from the entrance.
- Hearing loops in the function spaces and at every reception desk. Interpreters and live captioning arranged with reasonable notice, at our cost.
- Large-print and braille menus in every restaurant, and menus read aloud on request without anybody making it awkward.
- Service animals are welcome everywhere guests are welcome, at no charge, with no registration and no documentation required.
- Wheelchairs available to borrow at the lobby, free, no deposit.
Accessible features can be requested in the booking flow. When you request one it is held for you, not noted as a preference. If we cannot honour it we will telephone you before you travel.
Telling us something is wrong
This is the part of an accessibility statement that usually leads nowhere. Ours:
- Email [email protected]
- Phone (303) 555-0113, 24 hours
- TTY through the national relay service: dial 711
We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to tell you what we are going to do and by when within ten. If a barrier stops you completing something on this site, tell us what you were trying to do and we will complete it for you while we fix the underlying problem.
How this was assessed
Self-assessed against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated checks across every page and manual testing with keyboard-only navigation, a screen reader, 200% and 400% zoom, forced-colors mode, and reduced-motion settings. Reviewed whenever the site changes materially.
