Play responsibly
21 and over. Free confidential help, the signs worth taking seriously, and every limit you can set on your own account — including how to exclude yourself.
The basics
You must be 21 or over to gamble at THE TOP ROLETA, to be on the gaming floor at all, or to buy or drink alcohol. We check identification, we check it often, and we would rather annoy you than get it wrong.
Gambling is entertainment that costs money. Over time every game here returns less than it takes — that is what makes the business a business. If you gamble, treat what you spend as the price of the evening, the way you would treat a concert ticket.
Never gamble with money you need, never gamble to win back what you have lost, and never gamble to feel better about something else.
Getting help, right now
Free, confidential and available every hour of every day, to you or to someone worried about you. None of these organisations are connected with us and none of them report back to us.
- National Problem Gambling Helpline — call or text 1-800-522-4700, or chat at 1800gamblerchat.org. 24 hours, all 50 states, interpretation available.
- National Council on Problem Gambling — ncpgambling.org, including a directory of local treatment providers.
- Gamblers Anonymous — gamblersanonymous.org, for meetings in person and online.
- Gam-Anon — gam-anon.org, for family and friends.
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988 if things feel unbearable. Please do this first, before anything else on this page.
Signs worth taking seriously
Any one of these on its own is worth a pause. Several together is worth a phone call.
- Gambling for longer, or with more, than you intended — repeatedly.
- Going back another day specifically to win back losses.
- Borrowing, selling things, or using money meant for something else.
- Lying about how much, how long, or how often.
- Restlessness or irritability when you try to stop.
- Gambling to escape worry, low mood, loneliness or boredom.
- Somebody who loves you has already said something about it.
What you can set up here
All of this is free, none of it requires a reason, and none of it is recorded anywhere that affects how you are treated as a guest.
- Spend limits
- A daily, weekly or monthly ceiling on your account. Increases take seven days to come into effect; decreases take effect immediately.
- Time limits and reality checks
- An on-screen prompt every 30 or 60 minutes of carded play, showing how long you have played and what you are up or down.
- Marketing exclusion
- One instruction removes you from every gaming-related offer — email, SMS, post and on-property — while leaving the rest of your account alone.
- Cooling-off
- A break of 72 hours, 30 days or six months. Your account is suspended and reopens on its own.
- Self-exclusion
- One year, five years or for life. Your rewards account is closed, credit is withdrawn, all marketing stops, and staff are instructed to refuse you entry to the gaming floor. It cannot be reversed early, by anyone, for any reason. That is the point of it.
Set any of these at the rewards desk or by telephone on (303) 555-0113. Self-exclusion has to be done in person or by notarised form, because we have to be certain it is you.
Colorado also operates a statewide programme separate from ours that applies across licensed properties.
If you are worried about someone else
You cannot self-exclude another adult, and we will not pretend otherwise. What you can do:
- Call 1-800-522-4700 yourself. The helpline is for you too.
- Contact Gam-Anon, which exists specifically for families.
- Ask us to remove them from marketing. We will act on a credible request from a family member without requiring proof.
- Protect your own money first — separate accounts, remove authorisations, get advice. This is not disloyalty.
What we do about it
- Every employee who works on or near the floor is trained to recognise distress and to act, with annual refresher training rather than a single induction session.
- We do not extend credit to anyone who has asked for a limit, a cooling-off period or an exclusion, and we do not market to them.
- We do not serve alcohol to anyone visibly intoxicated, and we do not treat intoxication as a commercial opportunity.
- Cash machines are not placed on the gaming floor and cash advances are not available at the tables.
- Helpline information is displayed at every cage, every cash machine and every entrance, not only in a website footer.
